According to the sources, A court in Delhi has passed an order for TV actress Indu Verma to three years’ remands for a 1996 cheat case. Magistrate Lovleen held charges over Indu Verma for cheating, forgery, misappropriation of cheques and impersonating to directed her to pay Rs.20 lakh to her previous employer, Thomas Cook India Private Limited.

According to the prosecution,Indu Verma who is 42 years old, purchased jewellery worth Rs.17.50 lakh from a shop between September 6, 1996, and October 3, 1996, by using cheques pertaining to her then employer.Her cheques bounced all the times
On Wednesday , Court said that “It is apparent that the convict has not only acted against the interests of an employer but also caused its lose to the tune of Rs.17.50 lakh. … the convict’s conduct does not deserve any leniency,”
As a short term relief, the court gave an order to Indu Verma’s to furnish a bond of Rs.20K as a surety amount.
