Riteish Deshmukh, who is juggling between multiple films, will be soon seen in yet another film titled ‘Banjo’. These days Riteish Deshmukh has been spotted with hairs grown till shoulders, which is because of his role in the upcoming film ‘Banjo’. The movie, which portrays him as a band member demanded long hair out of the actor.
The first look of Riteish has been revealed and the actor looks no less than a trained drummer. Banjo is truly a special film for Riteish Deshmukh for he will play a full-fledged Maharashtrian character for the first time. The producer of the film, Eros International, has also roped in Nargis Fakhri to play the leading lady. Nargis essays the role of a girl who is born and brought up abroad and visits India for a purpose.

The movie Banjo is directed by National award winning director Ravi Jadhav, who, after earning accolades for his films in the Marathi industry, has been looking at directing Bollywood films. Director Ravi Jadhav is known for the films like Balak Palak, Natrang and Timepass among others and the film Banjo is Ravi’s effort to put focus on this tradition so as to help it flourish.
Riteish Deshmukh plays a musician in the film and will be seen sporting long tresses. Banjo is a musical which traces the journey of someone who can go to any extent to meet her dreams even if it means crossing borders and countries. Orchestrated by destiny, a DJ from US meets a ‘Banjo’ party from Mumbai and they take the leap, they fly, they rise, they stumble, they dust, and they stand again.
‘Banjo’ is expected to go on the floor by August 19. Interestingly, this is the second film of Riteish Deshmukh along with Nargis Fakhri and the two are currently busy with shooting in London for ‘Housefull 3’.
