‘Robot 2’ – It’s time to Thalaiva vs Khiladi!

There have been reports through the year that Shankar (the film’s director) was planning to rope ‘Terminator’ star, Arnold Schwarzenegger as the villain.  But, our source clears that, “Just two days ago, talks with Arnie failed because there was extensive paperwork involved in getting the ex-Governor of California to come and work in India.”

Akshay Kumar told that working with Thalaiva was never my dream because these things don’t come to you even in a dream. When asked about the movie Robot 2 Akshay says, “Today, the action may seem a little funny, but at that time I would be gaping at the screen, wondering how Rajini sir did what he did. It was a marvel in technique and technology! He’s a wonderful actor and even more, a wonderful human being. It will be an honour to be punched by Rajini sir. It’s going be a different world for me -the graphics, the action and the adulation that he commands.”

Robot 2 will be shot in 3 D. Legacy Effects from USA, the world’s leading animatronics company (associated withJurassic Park, Iron Man and Avengers) has been signed for the film. Special costumes are being designed by Mary V Egot, known for films such as Tron and Watchman. The action scenes will be choreographed by Transformers fame Kenny Bates and VFX by Life Of Pi fame John Huges, Walt from Taufilms.

London-based Lyca Productions has made it clear that Robot 2 will be of international standard, and we have no doubt!

The film went on floors on December 16 and is slated to hit the screens early next year.
