Suraj Sharma native of South Delhi is an Indian film actor, who made his debut with the movie Life of Pi. The film was the adaptation of the novel the of same name and was directed by Ang Lee. In 2014, he portrayed Aayan Ibrahim in season 4 of the Showtime series Homeland. He was recently seen in the Mongolian-American adventure drama film Burn Your Maps. He will be seen in upcoming bollywood film Phillauri.

Suraj Sharma Early Life-

Suraj Sharma was born on 21 March 1993 in Delhi.  He hails from a Malayali family. His father Gokul Churai, is a Software Engineer from Thalassery, Kerala and mother Shailaja is an Economist. He has one brother Sriharsh Sharma, who is also an actor and one younger sister, Dhruvatara Sharma.He completed his schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. He has gained Philosophy Honours from the St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University. He is currently undertaking a Mass Communication course at New York University.

Suraj Sharma career-

Suraj Sharma had some training in Hindustani music and karate, but have no acting experience. He would like to study film at New York U.S’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 2012 Suraj went along with his younger brother to Delhi audition of “Life of Pi” and he got selected as the lead role.In 2014, he portrayed Aayan Ibrahim, nephew of a terrorist, in season 4 of the Showtime political thriller series Homeland. That same year, he portrayed Rinku Singh in the sports biopic Million Dollar Arm.He then co-starred with Tony Revolori in the Indian comedy-drama Umrika, In 2016, he will appear in the Mongolian-American adventure drama film Burn Your Maps. He will be seen in upcoming Bollywood film Phillauri featuring Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh in lead role. Suraj is also in a lead role in this movie.
