Fitoor movie review : Sizzling chemistry of Aditya and Katrina wins the hearts

We are celebrating the love week, so our industry also makes us sure that we can enjoy the love weekend with the intense love story. We are talking about the new release of Today Fitoor.

Fitoor, which is released today, just two days ago of Valentine’s day, is co-produced by Sidharth Roy Kapur and Abhishek Kapoor. Fitoor is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations. Looks like the film is not living up to the Great Expectations people are having from it. The previous two movies of Abhishek are Rock On which was all about the passion for music and Kai Po Che a tribute to the Gentleman’s game and now Fitoor seems to be an ode to love in all its intense form.

Fitoor movie Review: Sizzling chemistry of Aditya and Katrina wins the hearts

Abhishek has wonderful faces for the film in the form of Aditya Roy Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Tabbu. The first half starts with a young Noor (Aditya Roy Kapur) is the orphan Pip in this tale and Dickens’s Estelle is Firdaus (Katrina Kaif), introducing us to their lives and setting the pace of what’s happening. As we all know it is a Love story, but fate has different plans for Firdaus and Noor. Katrina Kaif  brings Firdaus  alive with much ease. The red hair and the styling only add to the drama. Aditya is a perfect cast as the brooding and passionate Noor.  Tabu’s character is the eccentric, mercurial Miss Havisham Begum Hazrat.

The second half does pick up pace when Begum, Tabu’s character takes prominence. She brings in a gravities and a sense of dramatic energy to the film. Tabu steals every scene with her magnetic appeal. Noor and Firdaus have a passionate love making scenes in the first half that paints the film with dark hues of red.

Kashmir is a character in itself in the film. This Kashmir is quite different from the ones we are used to seeing in films. Abhishek’s Kashmir is cold, much like the vibes exchanged between its characters. The only contrast provided by the autumn of Noor-Firdaus’ love.

“Overall review of the movie is that if you wants see the beauty of  Kashmir and the beautiful faces with the solid performance of Katrina and Aditya Roy Kapoor then you can spend a weekend with Fitoor.  If you are patient with the pace, then Fitoor is a definite treat for you.”
