According to the sources, there are some changes in the story of Karanvir’s Darr. In the original movie the villain, Shahrukh Khan obsessed with one girl Kiran, Juhi Chawla but in the remake Karanvir Bohra (well known face of television) will be obsessed with two girls.
As the one girl for the role of Juhi Chawla is finalized the searching of second girl is continue. According to the Karanvir before choosing Priya, he had finalized two Pakistani TV actresses, Ainy Jaffri and Mawra Hocane. The reason for the casting of Pakistani actresses is that the story line of the movie is based on the Pahadi girl and the location of the set is Manali so the girl needed for the role must have Pahadi look as well as sharp features. The girl has to play the role of the poet so needed that kind of language command and tone. But he had to drop the idea of casting Pakistani girls because of some visa problem and there were issues raised over Pakistani artistes shooting in India.
Karanvir said- “I m happy to have Priya in the Movie, but there is hunting continues for the second girl and it’s not easy to play the character of King Khan so he needs the blessings of Shahrukh before shooting the remake of Darr. He said “SRK has been a role model for me. We have similar real life image and in my maiden film as a producer I’d want to reach out to him. The films he did at the onset of his career like Darr and Baazigar is what I’m attempting on the big screen. Meeting him will add to my performance in the film.”
