Kaun Banega Crorepati 10 got this season’s first crorepati in the form of Assam-based teacher Binita Jain. She won Rs one crore and inspired millions with her spirit. Jain is a tuition teacher from Guwahati and hails from a family, which is in the textile business. At 32, her husband went missing after he was reported abducted by militants while on a business trip to another state.
Talking to Bollywood Life, she said, “Life has changed drastically in these few days. I feel like a celebrity. It is like being in a different space altogether. My folks are waiting for the rush to get over so that we can celebrate. I have got so many congratulatory calls that I have lost track.”
Like so many others, Jain also wished to be on KBC since years. “I would try but not so intently. This time, I was lucky to get through. You can never ever be prepared for KBC. My actual preparations started 15 days back. Any amount of preparation falls short for KBC. The initial seven minutes are tough as you are awestruck by Big B. He is extremely humble and encouraging. He is a very inspiring person,” she says.
Binita teaches 125 students in her tuitions in Guwahati. Her family consists of her father, son and daughter. “When I completed my studies, I would sit with students who were in their early 20’s but I feel learning has no time limit. You cannot let society decide what is right for you,” she signs off.
